Each scholarship represents an investment in our academic programs, our mission, and our students!

The Scott Simmons Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Fund Established in Memory of Scott Simmons, Renowned Builder from Southlake, Texas.

In a heartfelt tribute to Scott Simmons, a beloved builder and community leader from Southlake, Texas, a scholarship fund has been established to honor his enduring legacy. The Scott Simmons Memorial Scholarship Fund aims to support aspiring builders, ensuring that Scott's passion for construction and community development lives on through the next generation.

Criteria for Eligibility

  • Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College.
  • Must intend to pursue an associate degree or certificate of completion in Construction Management Technology.
  • Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0 OR
  • Must have a high school equivalent or a passing GED score if a first-time TCC student.
  • Must enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) for period of award.
  • Must meet federal or state guidelines for financial need.

Criteria for Renewal

A recipient will receive a spring scholarship if:

  •  a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved,
  • and a minimum of 6 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) is completed in the fall.

Applying for the Scholarship

The scholarship awards $74 per credit hour the student is enrolled (i.e. 12 credit hours = $888 per semester).
